Sample Savings via American Express' points-to-miles transfer partnership with Air Canada: Montreal to Vienna normal/everyday price can often be 310,000 miles when using United miles, but if you use Amex Rewards Points partner Air Canada miles, the cost can be as low as 150,000 miles.
Air Canada is currently running a deal whereby miles can be acquired for as low as 1.88¢ each (includes taxes and processing fee).
