On Oct. 28, 2007, the carrier commenced service from New York/JFK to Delhi, via its hub in Brussels. Flights depart JFK at 6:55 pm, and arrive Brussels at 9:30 am. The Brussels-Delhi flight departs at 11:30 am and arrives just after midnight. The new flight is a follow-up to Jet’s Toronto-Chennai service launched in September and its Newark-Mumbai flight, which began in August. (For up-to-the-minute schedules visit www.jetairways.com.)

Flights from New York use B777-300ER aircraft with three cabins, while those from Toronto use Airbus A330-200 with two-class service (Première and Economy). In First Class, Jet offers enclosed suites with lie-flat beds (the world's longest, according to the carrier), closets, a dining table for two, and 23-inch flat-screen TVs. Première (Business Class) pods have 73-inch-long lie-flat beds.

Fare Survey: How Jet Compares New York-Brussels: Jet’s lowest Business Class fare of $2,600 (I class) doesn’t require an advance purchase or minimum stay, which all other US carriers require. Book without either of these restrictions, and US carriers will charge you $800 to $4,500 more. Jet is the only airline offering a First Class cabin on non-stops from NYC to Brussels. The cost: $10,929.

New York to Bombay and Delhi: Jet charges $6,150 in Business, $10,085 in First Class. BA offers better Business Class fares (42-day advance purchase) and also has a 2-for-1 program, great for First Class travel. (Jet does not offer 2-for-1 fares.) Continental flies non-stop to Delhi and Mumbai, offering a 21-day advance fare of $5,187 to Delhi and a 50-day advance of $4,200 to Mumbai. It uses B777s on both routes.
