How to Get BA First Class at a Discount

An unpublished fare is one that is not available through an airline computer reservation system or major online booking engine. It’s not exactly a secret, although most unpublished fares are not widely known because they’re offered through a non-retail venue, often the airline’s “leisure” (packaged travel) division. That’s the case with British Airways, which is making its highly coveted First Class seats available at prices less than many published Business Class fares. To get them you must book the “London in Style” package through British Airways Holidays, which packages BA air-and-land vacations. The “London in Style” package offers:

  • Round-trip First Class transatlantic airfare to London
  • Three nights’ deluxe hotel accommodations at a choice of nine luxury hotels, among them The Dorchester, Claridge’s, and The Ritz
  • Full English breakfast daily
  • Local service charges and taxes
  • Round-trip, chauffeur-driven private car transfers between London Heath row or Gatwick airports and the hotel.
More Information: (877) 428-2228.

Who’s this deal for?

The person who wants to avoid 2-for-1 hassles: If you’re just going to sign up for the BA Visa Signature card for a one-time, 2-for-1 fare, save yourself the hassle by buying this package. Big Plus: with this deal both passengers earn miles, whereas the passenger flying on the 2-for-1 companion ticket does not earn miles.

The solo flyer: Use this promo to save a bundle if you’re alone or part of a threesome. Keep in mind there will be a single supplement, starting at about $400, as fares are based on double occupancy.

Flying solo on short notice: This program only requires a 21-day advance. Think about it: flying on short notice with BA through this deal can net you First Class for $1,000 to $2,000 LESS THAN Business Class.

London in Style—Business Class

While the savings are less significant in this cabin, you can indeed save when flying on short-notice (less than 30 days in advance), but do book at least 14 days in advance. Otherwise the fares are a wash, but you’ll get the three night’s hotel free.
