United Airlines and Lufthansa have combined their corporate mileage plans for small and medium-sized businesses. Operating under United’s existing PerksPlus brand, the joint program works in addition to both airlines’ frequent flyer programs (United’s Mileage Plus and Lufthansa’s Miles & More), offering incentives to companies as well as individual travelers.

Members of the Lufthansa Corporate Mileage Plan received word in March that their accounts had automatically been transferred to the new program, and that enhancements would include “more points and more ways to earn them, more choices on where to fly, more ways to redeem points, and more online access.”

Eligibility for PerksPlus, which will be administered by United, requires a minimum of $20,000 in annual travel on United, Lufthansa, and United Express, combined. Points accrual varies based on travel class. Points can be redeemed on both Lufthansa- and United-operated flights.
