All-Business Class carrier Eos Airlines is offering its mileage plan members substantial bonus points through the remainder of 2007. Regular Eos travelers will benefit from the added incentive, but members of more flexible programs have little reason to stray.

Eos is offering an additional 15,000 points on round-trip tickets priced less than $2,000 per segment and 30,000 points on round-trip tickets priced more than $2,000 per segment, in addition to the base points accrued for miles traveled. All tickets booked through Dec 31, 2007, for travel completed through Feb 29, 2008, are eligible. To receive the bonus points, members must register online prior to purchase.

As we’ve often reported in First Class Flyer, Eos provides levels of comfort and service that place them in the highest echelon of commercial air travel, earning placement in our top category as an Elite Service Carrier (ESC). Their mileage program, however, isn’t for everybody. With no alliance partners and very few routes, the Eos plan offers little to anyone who doesn’t regularly fly their New York-London route. Even though their program provides “the opportunity to redeem points for travel on all major airlines, including Eos, anywhere, anytime - with no blackout dates,” the transfer rate to other carriers is about a penny per mile. Too low to merit much consideration.

For more information, call Eos Airlines at (888) 357-3677 or visit www.eosairlines.com.
